저희 아이는 italk에 다니닌지 4년 반 정도 되었습니다.
3살이 되어도 단어로만 이야기 하려고 하여 이중언어치료를 찾아보았고 이곳에 오게 되었습니다.
중간에 팬데믹으로 인해 어려움도 있었지만 italk을 통해 이중언어치료를 시작하였고 4살무렵 학교를 가면서 점점 영어의 비중을 높여주셨습니다.
아이한테 맞게 각 시기마다 단계별로 아이의 목표를 세워주셨습니다. 단어에서 문장으로 이어졌고 자기의 의사표현이나 요청사항 그리고 타인과 관계에서도 어떻게 이야기 하는지 체계적으로 가르쳐 주셨습니다. 또한 수줍음이 많아 마음열기 어려워해하는 아이였지만 아이의 눈높이에 맞춰 잘 이끌어주셨습니다.
한 해가 지날 때마다 아이가 성장하고 있다는
것을 많이 느꼈고 그 중 80%이상은 italk에서 도와주었다고 생각합니다!
자기가 표현하고 싶고 하고 싶은말을 다 하는 친구가 되었고 때로는 그만 이야기 해달라고 요청해야하는 수다쟁이가 되었습니다. 학교에서는 더이상의 테라피를 받지 않아도 된다는 결과도 얻게 되었습니다. 물론 아이들 마다도 성장 속도는 다르겠지만 italk선생님들 덕분에 가능했습니다.
타주 이주로 인해 우리는 italk 수업을 종료하게 되었습니다. italk 선생님들과 연습했던 것들이 전학이라는 새로운 도전을 할 수 있게 도와주셨습니다.
아이는 마지막 수업을 하며 너무나도 슬퍼했지만 자기의 마음은 영원히 사랑하고 기억할꺼라고 말하기도 했습니다.
그만큼 아이에게도 너무나도 소중한 곳이였습니다. 우리 가족은 황원장님과 선생님들께 정말 너무나도 감사하고 또 감사합니다. 🙇🏻‍♀️❤️

Italk speech center has been absolutely wonderful and supportive for my child since age 2. Italk therapists and staff have been there for us when we needed resources and guidance.

Not knowing how to raise a neurodivergent child, we felt anxious and impatient at times. They helped us understand that this would be a slow, gradual process and each child has a different curve.

After each session, therapist gave informal review on how the session went and what needs to be worked on at home until the next session. They offered us comprehensive patent-teacher conference at a regular interval to assess where my child was and to develop future therapy plan. They helped to coordinate their therapy with school coordinator, teachers, speech therapist and occupational therapist.

Participating in group therapy sessions in addition to individual sessions for the past few months has significantly improved my child's social and language skills. It has taken some time but my child has shown much progress for the past year. Hopefully my child continues to show progress to be able to graduate.

I can’t say enough nice things about the iTalk team and Ms. Eunice! Taking my child to iTalk has been one of the best decisions I have ever made as a parent. It brings me great joy to see how excited my daughter gets when she realizes she is going to see Ms. Eunice. We had to be on their waiting list for a long period of time but the whole process was worth every penny and time. They're very caring, professional, accurate, punctual, nice, and brilliant. My son was three years old when he started speech therapy with ITalk Speech. He only spoke a single word. After many years with ITalk Speech, he is excellent in so many areas at school. I dedicate his progress to Mrs. Hwang and staff members during speech and social group sessions. They were truly working amazing. Their best interest is helping children. As of right now, I’m no longer taking my boy to any therapies. Thank you ITalk Speech!

It’s never easy to hear that your child needs special services, and you especially don’t want to settle on the treatment he gets. So I am so glad we were referred to iTalk. They calmed my concerns and my child is thriving. It turns out that the head director was educated and trained at Columbia and currently teaches speech teachers at NYU. She really knows her stuff.
